Mary listened carefully to both Marlene and Molly explain to where the Room of Requirement was. She wondered how did so many know of this place already before her? Beyond that, she couldn’t believe just how passionate everyone around her was getting about this plan of theirs. Their enthusiasm was inspiring, exhilarating, and provided a glimmer of hope the future. Maybe they couldn’t come out of this war unscratched, maybe they wouldn’t even come out of this war at all - but they weren’t going to go down without a fight.
She stood up and took the quill in her hand, hesitating only for a moment to think about this. After she signed her name she flopped back down into her seat with a small smile on her face. “So what now? When do we meet again?” she asked yawning.Marlene didn’t realized how late it had been by now. “We should really discuss when we’ll meet again. I’ll have to go soon, I can’t stay here all night.” She smiled at the others and also signed her name. “I’ll ask some Hufflepuffs if they’re interested, too. The more we are the more fun we’ll have.” Hopefully there’ll really be some other Hufflepuffs being prepared to practice for fighting against the Death Eaters because it felt strange being the only non-Gryffindor in such a group.
Lily smiled at Marlene. “Absolutely,” she said. “We need as many people as we can get.”
Her statement was true, though. If the rumours were anything to go by, there were twofold the number of people vying for spots in the ranks of the Dark Lord, and Lily wanted to do everything that they possibly could to help. They needed to stop this war, and she was going to do her part as best as she possibly could.
“It is late,” she acknowleged, looking around the room at tired faces. She wasn’t sleepy in the least, but Lily attributed that to the adrenaline rush she had initially gotten at the fact that there were people who didn’t want to go down without a fight, people who wanted to make a difference. “We would all do well to get to bed.”
Lily wasn’t sure as to when their next meeting would be held, but they had the list of names and that was all that was important. “We’ll keep you posted on our next meeting,” she said. “Word will be sent to you. Thank you all very much for coming.”
She heard the murmured goodbyes, and the sound of the portrait of the Fat Lady clicking shut as Marlene slipped out of the common room, and began to walk up the stairs to her dormitory. They were going to do more than not go down without a fight. They were going to win.

"Prompt: Monkey."
LOL ANON YOU ARE EVIL XD
I need a bit to think about how to put ‘monkey’ in a story and make it coherent at the same time lol
Lily had come into Hogwarts knowing nothing about the disparity between people who were, like her, muggle-born, and people who were purebloods. She had been alarmed when there were people who refused to speak to her, but eventually learned why they did it. Naturally, she had been quite upset about this to begin with, not understanding the hate she was receiving for something that she could not control. Lily was the sort of person who strove to be accepted by everyone. She desired popularity, she desired to be needed, and above everything, she wanted friends.
Like most of her muggle-born classmates, she accustomed herself to the prejudice eventually, and just stayed out of the way of most of the Slytherin house, where a large majority of the people who condemned being muggle-born were. After all, there were purebloods who did not take to the time-old tradition of ‘preserving the bloodline’- some of her best friends were purebloods and from respected families, like Marlene McKinnon.
What few people understood was that during Lily’s first few years at Hogwarts, she felt just about as much pain at not being fully accepted as who she was at school as she felt not fully accepted at home. Lily’s acceptance into this mystical school that taught magic had shocked her entire family, although a certain member seemed to take it more negatively than the rest. This person was, of course, her sister Petunia.
Lily and Petunia had been close all their lives- they were inseparable till the day Lily received her acceptance letter. She had dismissed it, believing it to be a thing that would pass, and she arrived home for Christmas in the middle of her first year bursting to the seams with candy and magical artefacts for Petunia. She was met with coldness, and taunts that she wasn’t normal, that she would never be normal and that she was a disgrace to their family. Those sentiments had not changed in six years, and as much as she liked to think otherwise, deep down Lily doubted that they ever would.
"Prompt: pain."
Alright, will write it up in a bit :)
Remus was slightly bumped that the shrieking shack was out of the question. However, the Room of Requirements was a brilliant idea. Everything about the room was perfect for what they were about to do. He got out a pen and a piece of parchment. He placed it on the coffee table and stood up.
“Let’s start training tomorrow. We’ll keep this discreet. No one should find out about this, especially the Slytherins. This army has to be united. Its best we know each other well enough and keep count. Before leaving, please sign off your name on this parchment.” Remus was exuberant and the adrenaline rush through his veins made him rattle on and on about how they all had to behave as a team.
As soon as he was done sharing his piece of mind with the army, he sat back down with his eye glued to the parchment. He then exchanged glances with a few of the members and smiled.
Lily let out a small smile in Remus’ direction when he started rambling about teamwork and unity and whatever else it was he was saying. No one seemed to be really paying him much mind. Remus had the tendency to go on about things, though, and Lily was pretty much used to it. Sometimes she thought that doing that made things easier for him because it gave him a chance to let loose- after all, most of the time, he was hardly the kind of person to take a break and relax.
Everyone’s enthusiasm toward the idea of forming a group to help protect themselves was heartening, and Lily was glad that there were even a few purebloods who had okay-ed the idea. She was surprised that they would want to get involved when they could easily avoid having to, but was happy that they had chosen to help. The more people in it the better- after all, Marlene wouldn’t be able to teach everyone to duel on her own.
She still had some questions, though, about this Room of Requirement that she had honestly heard nothing of prior to it being mentioned earlier. “Hold on,” she said, as people began coming forth to sign the sheet of parchment Remus was holding out. “Where exactly is this Room?”

When Lily had actually spoken to him, his heart skipped a few beats. “It’s an essay for Defence Against The Dark Arts. ” He told her. This was essay was worth more than the Charms one Lily had been working on. He crumpled up another sheet of parchment and watched it land with the other crumbled up pieces. This was the hardest assignment he’s ever worked on.
“Care to help?” He asked her with a smile. This was the first time he’s ever talked to Lily without the attempt of asking her out. It was better like this anyway. Every single time he had asked she rejected him. So this was a start.
Lily narrowed her eyes at James. “You can, you know, use your wand for that.” She said, as she got her own wand out from her pocket. Using a quick non-verbal spell, she directed the small balls of crumpled up paper to the wastepaper basket, and sat down on the arm of an sofa waiting for all the bits to fall in.
“So,” she said. “You were at the-” Lily paused for a while, not quite knowing what to call the gathering they’d had the other day in the common room. She eventually settled on ‘meeting’, although that sounded far too official for a group of students trying to train themselves to fight. “You were at the meeting that night. I didn’t think you’d come.”
Of course, she didn’t think he’d come because she didn’t see James as a person particularly passionate about anything. Well, with the possible exception of Quidditch.
Marlene looked at James then at Lily and rolled her eyes. He might think this is just a fun meeting but it was serious. The Shrieking Shack? She never were in it but the house seemed awfully small and they were quite more than thought. And on top of that there was no way to enter or at least no obviously entry.”Remus, do you think there’s enough space for all of us? And how should we get there? But it’s better than the common room, I guess.”
Molly was in the corner knitting a new scarf for Arthur since he had lost the one she made him from last year. She hadn’t been paying too much attention as she had all the intention of starting a family as soon as left Hogwarts and starting a resistance against he who must not be named did not fall in suit with that. She wasn’t much of a fighter either. She was a pure-blood so she herself wouldn’t have much to worry about, but she would support those who decided to join the order and help in ways that didn’t involve actual fighting.
She had however kept her eye open for various conversation points. ”There is the room of requirement…” She said casually without looking up with her knitting as if the room itself was something everyone knew about.
Lily had returned Marlene’s eye-roll when James showed up. She assumed he knew what they were trying to do, of course, and frankly he seemed like one who might just go along with it for the sheer reason that it gave him another opportunity to curse Slytherins. She assumed that was what he thought their organisation would be about, but evidently he was wrong. They were trying to prevent a bloody war, not initiate it.
“The room of requirement?” She asked, confused. Her sentiments seemed to be echoed across the room, as there didn’t seem to be a person who knew what it was that Molly was talking about. Honestly, she quite liked the idea of there being another room for them to practice in. Lily was sure that most of the people in attendance would not fancy the idea of creeping into the Shrieking Shack, especially with all those rumours of it being haunted.

Parchments were scattered across the wooden table that was in front of him. The ink bottle was slightly tipping over, and the end of the ink covered quill was starting to get dry. He got up from his place on the stone floor, stretching once he did. “This is a mess.” He muttered before starting to straighten up a bit. Once all the crumpled parchments, or useless parchments were in the trash bin he returned to his working space by the table, on the floor. “I should really do this more early.” He mumbled watching the fire crackle before returning his eyes to the paper. As he began to write small footsteps began to fill the room, the noise coming from the staircase that lead to the girls dorm. He looked up to see the ginger hair peaking from behind the wall. In a few seconds her face and her body were revealed from behind the wall. There stood Lily Evans, still looking beautiful as ever.
“Yes..?” He asked cocking an eyebrow. She was probably curious as to why he was still up. Tomorrow Sirius would probably have to drag him out of bed to get him to go breakfast. She on the other probably couldn’t sleep. He had those nights sometimes. It wasn’t quite often though. “Well instead of just standing there why don’t you help me.” He said with a laugh, gesturing to his pile of parchments with his eyes and hands. He placed the quill back into the ink bottle and waited for a response from her. She had always been the helpful type yes, but to be helpful towards James Potter? James Bloody Potter? This was new. It wasn’t long before her voice broke the short silence, and answered him.
Lily hadn’t had any intention on helping James Potter do anything, as a matter of fact. She’d come into the common room to retrieve a book she’d left behind during that meeting they’d organised the day before, and nothing more. She needed it to finish her Charms essay, which was probably what James had been working on. That would might explain why the common room resembled a small war zone when Lily had stepped in.
She walked over to him, tossing bits of parchment into the wastepaper basket that lay in the corner of the room, her eyes searching the room for a large, leather-bound book that was what she was searching for. Eventually, she extracted the book she’d been looking for from under a particularly large pile of papers.
“James, what exactly is it that you’re doing?” She asked. Lily was beginning to disregard her earlier theory that he was working on the Charms essay, given the amount of books he had open and papers lying about. She doubted James would be one to dedicate so much time to an essay that barely held any credit.
“Yeah well, you’ve might all heard of the Order of the Phoenix?” Marlene looked around and saw confused faces. “Or you haven’t. But that’s okay. Basically the Order are people willing to fight against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters to protect the wizarding and the muggle…
Lily beamed. Everyone had been much more receptive than she’d anticipated, and that was fortunate. Some part of her had actually expected everyone to walk off saying they thought she and Marlene were out of their minds. She had anticipated that at least one person would have pointed out that them meeting to train would entail the breaking of at least twenty school rules (Remus, in particular, since he was a stickler for rules), but nobody had.
“Well then,” she said, addressing everyone. “I’m really glad you all want to be part of this! But there is another problem. We’re going to need a place to practice. I suppose we could use the common room, but it’s not going to be easy to smuggle in people from other houses should they wish to join…” Lily’s voice trailed off, as she looked around the room in a bid to see if anyone held a solution to this.
Honestly, she had no idea what she was doing. It was all very well to ask Marlene to teach her to duel, but trying to form an army? It wasn’t like Lily even had anything to contribute to their little organisation either. She specialised in potions, and unless there was a potion available that would kill only Death Eaters, that skill wouldn’t be of much aid
